The Guitar Hero: World Tour guitar may very well be the best guitar peripheral out there.ĭrums: Guitar Hero: World Tour is Neversoft’s first shot at the drums. Then again, these same people are playing a game where you press colored buttons to pretend you are rocking out at a concert, so I’d probably take that with a grain of salt.

With the clicking and the colored buttons, some people have accused the Guitar Hero guitar of feeling more like a toy. I’d really like to try it out, it sounds pretty cool. The new guitar has a “guitar slide” section toward the top of the neck where you can tap out solos. They famously click every time you “strum” so you know that you’ve depressed the button all the way. In terms of feel, Guitar Hero guitars give more of a tactile sensation. It may very well become my favorite guitar yet (right now it’s the GH3 Les Paul). Guitar: I actually just picked up the Guitar Hero: World Tour guitar and I must say I’m impressed. And as I’ve mentioned before, vocals aren’t really my thing.

I’m only going to talk about the drums and guitar because the mics are essentially the same. Hopefully those innovations will continue to push the music genre in a good direction moving forward, but what’s important here and now is how these games stack up against one another.
