I ask Him to reveal to me what the lie is.

I repent of believing a lie, and ask God to forgive me.

So, if I dream of a snake I usually respond in the following way: Snakes in a dream nearly always alert us that our understanding is off in some way – and, therefore, that God wants to help us see the truth. He comes to rescue us from our situation, not bring condemnation.

God would not allow us to see something if there was no way to overcome it He always brings hope. Dreams always carry with them a hope for change.
